Notes from McCabe:
Tape was stopped between every song in first set. Tape flip in middle on drum solo.
No patches were applied. Everything left as in from master tape. A matrix version has been created that includes all crowd patches between songs and drum solo patch. We chose to do this as to enable this version to be Downloadable on the archive.

Subject: Epic memories.
I was at that show and was surprised coming from the east coast how laid back it was. Everyone was sitting in their seats, very chill compared to the mayhem I was used to. I liked it though because it was so different and I could just sit back and enjoy the show. One funny thing was that from the beginning a women kept yelling "Me and My Uncle" between songs until they finally played it and everyone went nuts because they did it just to shut her up, lol. they played so many of my favorite Dead songs that I left there buzzing. I love listening to this show. I can still hear her yelling, ME AND MY UNCLE! ME AND MY UNCLE!! ME AND MY UNCLE!!!

....many are bashing DONNA?????,,,,,,,,,,,all DEAD BAND members...liked her!!!!!............she never took anything away from the other members,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,IN OTHER WORDS HER SINGING did affect the other member's playing ability.......ALWAYS GOOD TO HEAR A FEMALE'S VOICE ON STAGE........it does not matter at all the ability of the woman singer's voice,,,,,,,,,,,,the orgasmic cosmic vocals by donna at the end of SCARLET ON the studio version,,is sublime,,,,,,,,,,,,what more do you want???????????,,,, SCARLET culminates with a sweet ORGASM............SHE HAD RINGS ON HER FINGERS AND BELLS ON HER SHOES,,,,,,,,,,,AND AT THE END WE HEAR THE HIPPIE FLOWER CHILD WHO THE SONG MENTIONS,,,,,,,,,,,,,SCREAM SWEETLY

I haven't finished listening to it yet, but I have to say this is one sweet-sounding recording. It competes with the Nashville Auditorium show for best aud of '78.
